We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. TasNetworks is seeking an experienced Investment Governance and Benefits Specialist to lead and mature our investment governance and benefits realisation practices. This role is responsible for overseeing the investment governance function, ensuring adherence to our frameworks, internal policies, and regulatory requirements, while providing financial rigour and oversight to support high-quality investment decisions aligned with our strategic goals and business performance targets.
Partnering closely with business stakeholders, you will define, quantify, and track financial benefits, ensuring expected outcomes are achieved and embedded into financial performance. You will also leverage technology, tools, and data to enhance business performance, and champion continuous improvement across investment governance processes.

About you
You are a proactive and analytical professional with a strong background in finance, investment governance, and benefits realisation. You bring strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a complex and evolving environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent discipline, supported by relevant experience and demonstrated competence.
- Alignment with TasNetworks’ core competencies, which underpin all roles within the organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in investment governance practices, benefits frameworks, and associated methodologies.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and analytical tools such as Excel and Power BI.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving capability to interpret financial data and develop meaningful insights.
