We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.
About the role
An exciting opportunity has been created at TasNetworks for an Operations Improvement Specialist to help lift performance across Operations and partner with key functions across the business.
This role is all about turning insight into action. You’ll work closely with leaders and process owners to identify improvement opportunities, streamline workflows, embed better ways of working and influence the approval and delivery of initiatives.
This role will:
- Identify, analyse and prioritise operational improvement opportunities across Operations
- Analyse end-to-end business processes to reduce waste, improve efficiency and lift performance
- Develop and manage a pipeline of improvement initiatives aligned to strategic objectives
- Lead or support improvement projects from concept through to implementation
- Facilitate workshops including process mapping, root cause analysis and problem-solving
- Partner with leaders, SMEs and stakeholders to develop standards, SOPs and change plans
- Track, report and communicate performance using dashboards, reports, SAP and related tools
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to align effort and manage finite improvement resources
About you
You’re a pragmatic improvement professional who can balance analysis with action and work comfortably across multiple stakeholder groups.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in process improvement, operational excellence or change
- Capability in Lean, Six Sigma or similar improvement methodologies
- A degree in Business, Commerce or equivalent experience
- Experience analysing performance data and driving outcomes through reporting
- Confidence working with senior leaders and diverse stakeholders
- Strong communication, facilitation and change management skills
