We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.
About the role
Here we have a great opportunity for a Leader - Negotiated Connections to join our team and lead the delivery of TasNetworks’ negotiated customer connections portfolio.
In this role, you’ll oversee a portfolio of customer connection projects, subdivision developments and contestable works, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with regulatory, commercial and customer requirements.
You’ll lead a team responsible for developing connection solutions, cost estimates and offers for negotiated connections, while building strong relationships with developers, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are planned and delivered successfully.
What you’ll do
- Lead the delivery and governance of the negotiated customer connections portfolio
- Oversee subdivision connections and contestable works frameworks
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to regulatory requirements
- Guide connection solutions, cost estimates and offer development
- Lead and support a team delivering customer connection projects
- Build strong relationships with developers, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Manage risks and provide reporting on portfolio performance and outcomes
About you
You’re a collaborative and commercially minded leader with experience managing complex project portfolios in the electricity, infrastructure or utilities sector.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, engineering or similar, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience in project or program management, ideally across electricity or infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated people leadership experience and ability to manage competing stakeholder priorities
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, including experience with cost estimation and project delivery
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and executive levels
- Experience managing project portfolios, financial performance and delivery reporting
