The Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide high‑level support to the General Manager – People, Culture and Safety to play an integral role within the senior leadership team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a leader who values collaboration, respects diversity in all forms, and places people at the centre of business success.

You will add value by:

  • Taking a highly organised, analytical and proactive approach to work, ensuring priorities are clearly planned, tracked and delivered.
  • Bringing structure to complex and fast‑moving environments by establishing and maintaining effective systems, processes and workflows.
  • Coordinating key People, Culture and Safety group activities, meetings and events, ensuring alignment with priorities and organisational objectives.
  • Supporting governance processes through preparation of papers, coordination of approvals, and provision of accurate, timely reporting.
  • Reviewing information from multiple sources, identifying key themes and risks, and producing concise, executive‑ready summaries and recommendations.
  • Building strong, trusted relationships across the organisation and acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

We’re seeking an Executive Assistant who is highly organised and detail‑focused, and who also enjoys building relationships and contributing to a positive team culture. This role plays a critical part in supporting the effectiveness of the People, Culture and Safety Group and enabling the senior leadership team to operate with confidence and focus.

To Thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience providing high‑level support to senior executives, with a strong understanding of confidentiality, discretion and professional judgement.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach, with the ability to anticipate needs, exercise sound judgement and resolve issues early.
  • Confidence working in digital environments, with the ability to quickly adopt new tools, platforms and AI‑enabled technologies that support productivity, document management and information flow.
  • Proven ability to translate executive direction into organised strategic and operational delivery, proactively managing competing priorities and workflows.
  • A people‑focused mindset, contributing positively to team culture, staying connected to what’s happening across the group, and supporting engagement and collaboration.
  • A structured, analytical mindset, with the ability to track and prioritise competing demands, identify risks or gaps early, and supporting informed decision‑making.
  • Very strong administrative capability, including attention to detail, document control and workflow coordination.
  • Well‑developed relationship‑building skills, including working closely with other Executive Assistants and senior leaders to ensure seamless operations across the organisation.

The Details

This role will be based in Launceston and attracts a salary of $103,701.29 - $109,462.48 (inclusive of superannuation), negotiable dependent on experience.
