The Opportunity
Our growing team develop and
implement operational plans, systems and tools for our state-wide water and
waste-water systems.
Whether you are a SCADA Engineer,
Data Scientist, or have extensive operations experience, if you enjoy being
part of a team that thrives on making a difference and engaging with
stakeholders in a collaborative manner, this role is a great fit for you.
This is a permanent position
that can be located in Hobart, Devonport or Launceston. Full time hours are
offered with hybrid arrangements and flexible start/finish times available.
The position attracts a total remuneration package of $116 - 145K per annum (including superannuation).
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor and report on after-hours operational performance of water and wastewater systems.
- Contribute to the development of and maintenance of fit for purpose operating plans for water and wastewater systems.
- Implement initiatives to drive innovation and improved performance in terms of safety, environmental compliance, drinking water quality and productivity.
- Support the implementation of a change and configuration management system for real time operational monitoring systems, primarily SCADA and IoT.
- Support the oversight of the use of and report on the performance of operational monitoring systems including alarm response, alarm management, and alarm criticality.
Your Application
Your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the selection
criteria in the Position Description, summarised as follows:
- Your qualifications or demonstrated experience in SCADA Engineering or Data Science, and/or demonstrated operational experience.
- Your experience in the utilities sector, and how this relates to water and waste water treatment, management and infrastructure.
- Your ability to deploy a structured approach to problem solving and work practices.
- Your experience in managing complex systems problem diagnosis, with excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
