The Opportunity
Our People, Culture and Safety Business Group works across the organisation to build a capable and engaged workforce that delivers an exceptional customer experience for the Tasmanian community.
You will provide specialist industrial and employee relations advice to leaders, People Partners and project teams across the business with a focus on minimising risk and facilitating outcomes that support a constructive culture.
This is a permanent position that has full time hours available but can also be worked in part time or job share capacity. Hybrid work arrangements and flexible start and finish times are also available. The position attracts a total remuneration package of $120 - 142K per annum (including superannuation).
Key Accountabilities
- Provide industrial and employment relations advice and support.
- Provide advice regarding the interpretation of employment and industrial relations legislation, enterprise agreements, and policies and contribute to the development policies and strategies.
- Contribute to strategies for TasWater’s Enterprise Agreement negotiations and play a key role in negotiations and implementation of initiatives that arise out of Enterprise Agreements.
- Support business change projects through the provision of high-quality advice on consultation and communication requirements.
- Prepare documentation for, assist with and represent TasWater in external industrial forums such as the Fair Work Commission
- Resolve industrial disputes and work with the People Partnering team on matters likely to escalate to dispute.
- Manage complex matters escalated from the People Partnering team.
- Provide strategic advice and coaching to leaders and People Partners in how to resolve and manage complex employee performance and misconduct issues and disputes.
