This Opportunity
As a Category Specialist at TasWater you will develop procurement category and sourcing strategy options by analysing markets, building market intelligence, developing, and implementing action plans and best practice.
Key Accountabilities
The experience that will help you succeed in this role will be:
- Engage and consult with internal stakeholders to understand medium to long-term business requirements and translate to appropriate strategic category management plans and scopes
- Monitor and report on supplier performance against established key performance indicators (KPIs) and take proactive measures to address identified issues
- Lead panel and framework development and management for responsible sourcing categories, including the preparation and review of documentation, contracts, and scopes
- Prepare reports and presentations to stakeholders across TasWater to provide category management insights and inform future strategic plans
- Build and cultivate cross-functional stakeholder relationships through effectively translating category management services and activities that respond to business needs and requirements
- Contribute to cultivating a high-performing, customer-centric, and innovative supply chain team

The Details
This is a permanent, full-time position that can be based in Launceston, Hobart or Devonport and offers hybrid working arrangements and flexibility in working hours so you can do the things that matter to you.
The position attracts a total remuneration package
