The Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead Project Delivery’s Governance team to develop, manage and enhance TasWater’s program and portfolio-wide governance frameworks for capital delivery. Including the management of systems, processes and supporting tools to support the delivery of our $1.9 billion 5 year Capital Works Program.
You will ensure Project Delivery’s systems and processes integrate efficiently and effectively with those belonging to Enterprise Business Groups and Delivery Framework Partners to support consistency, manage commercial and contractual risk, and achieve Capital Works Program performance KPIs and targets.
Coordinate and manage the development and maintenance of other Project Delivery systems and applications including the Project Delivery Intranet page and content, and Enterprise application and systems input and content
- Support alignment and consistency across teams to manage commercial and contractual risks effectively.
- Develop and continuously improve program management and governance artefacts, tools & templates that drive consistency and efficiency, and integrate seamlessly with partner processes and systems
- Manage and undertake team workforce planning to drive efficient and effective team resourcing and successful team development outcomes

What we're looking for
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive professional with strong expertise in governance frameworks and project management systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and enhancing integrated processes and tools that promote transparency, consistency, and efficiency across complex project portfolios.
You should be adept at collaborating across multiple business units and partners to align systems, manage commercial and contractual risks, and drive successful delivery against performance targets. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills are essential to thrive in this role. Experience in capital works and large-scale program delivery is essential.
- Possession of an appropriate Business or Project Management Degree qualification or equivalent experience, and demonstrated knowledge and experience at a management level in similar organisations to TasWater
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in leading and managing best practice portfolio and program management governance, and systems
- Experience in contributing to the management of large, complex, whole of lifecycle infrastructure programs and projects in line with the environmental, social, legislative, and financial business policy framework within which TasWater and other sectors of the Australian Water Industry operate
- Minimum of 10 years experience within infrastructure projects and within a similar senior role
