The Role
Support the delivery of clear, consistent and engaging internal communications that inform, inspire and connect our people. This role plays a key part in building trust across the organisation, reinforcing our strategic direction, and creating a culture where employees feel confident, empowered and aligned to our goals. Working closely with leaders and stakeholders, you will help translate complex information into meaningful messages that drive understanding, engagement and action.
- Lead the planning, development and delivery of TasWater’s weekly staff newsletter, fortnightly email to people leaders and all staff emails
- Partner with teams across the business to plan and deliver effective internal communication initiatives
- Support the rollout of strategic priorities, ensuring messaging is consistent and aligned
- Provide communications advice and guidance to internal teams and leaders, helping them shape messages, plan communications activities and select appropriate channels.
- Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement

What we're looking for
We’re seeking a proactive and creative communications professional who can connect with people at all levels of the organisation. You bring a strong ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging messages and are passionate about creating meaningful employee experiences. With a collaborative mindset, you build trusted relationships and work effectively across teams to deliver impactful communication outcomes. You are organised, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Formal vocational or tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content
- Well-developed digital communication skills, including experience with intranet platforms, content management systems and collaboration tools
- Proven organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

The Details
This role can be based in either Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport and attracts a salary of $96,694 - $102,066 (inclusive of superannuation), negotiable dependent on experience.
Please note this role is a max term contract ending in June 2027
