Team Global Express is looking for an experienced MR Driver/Dockhand to join our team in Albury, NSW.
This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 9am - 5:06pm.
In this role, you will be responsible for completing safe and efficient pickup and delivery of freight across the local area. You will also use a forklift to assist with loading and unloading freight as required.
What you’ll do
- Complete local pickups and deliveries of freight using an MR vehicle
- Assist with general dockhand duties, including sorting, scanning and moving freight around the depot
- Load and unload trucks safely using a forklift and other equipment as required
- Ensure freight is correctly labelled, handled and secured for transport
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any faults or issues.
- Assist with preparing freight for dispatch and organising incoming deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Follow all safety procedures and Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Work closely with the depot team to ensure smooth daily operations
What you’ll bring
- Current MR Driver’s Licence
- Current Forklift (LF) Licence
- Previous experience in pickup and delivery or freight transport will be highly regarded
- Good knowledge of safe loading, unloading and load restraint
- Strong focus on safety
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with the physical requirements of the role
