About us

At Tennis Australia, our culture is underpinned by four values:

Imagination – the ability to continually see things in a new light, to bring a growth mindset to new ideas and enthusiasm for positive change.

Collaboration – together we can do so much! Sustained success really does come from people trusting one another, and although we might each be different, it is by valuing our collective diversity that we can deliver the greatest value.

Excellence – Grand Slam achievement on the tennis court serves as an inspiring example for excellence, but excellence can be displayed by anyone, and we strive to be the benchmark.

Humility – generosity in victory and graciousness in defeat.  Demonstrating kindness and humility allows you to look beyond yourself. Crucially, humility boosts diversity through its fostering of inclusivity and acceptance.

Tennis is a game for everyone

We believe that tennis is a vehicle for inclusion both on and off the court. At Tennis, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment where all colleagues can bring their authentic selves to work every day. We respect and value differences, as the collaboration of different backgrounds and different perspectives can spark meaningful conversations where innovation, creativity and inspiration thrive.

Tennis Australia, and our state Member Associations, offer a wide range of career opportunities.  From growing grassroots participation, developing our next Grand Slam champions or delivering world-class events, there is bound to be a role which matches your skills, interests and talents. • What makes Tennis stand out as an inclusive and supportive place for women to work?

“Tennis is a leader in fostering inclusion and support for women. The sport has been a global trailblazer in offering equal prize money for men and women, setting a powerful standard on the world stage for decades—a legacy I’m proud to contribute to. As an organisation, we back this up with policies like our industry-leading parental leave policy, which provides substantial time off for primary carers while ensuring they are supported to return and thrive in their roles. We also embrace flexible, hybrid working arrangements, which are especially beneficial for women balancing work with family responsibilities.”

  • How does the company ensure that woman employees have equal opportunities for leadership and advancement?

“At Tennis, we have made significant progress in promoting gender equality at all levels of leadership. Our Board adheres to the 40:40:20 gender split in line with our gender equality governance policies. We are equally dedicated to achieving balanced representation within our Senior Leadership Group, including at the Executive level. Each year, the Executive team have meaningful conversations to explore strategies on how to continue to nurture and develop the women in our business. We also actively champion women in senior roles as mentors, creating opportunities for others to learn, grow, and be inspired by their leadership and achievements.”

  • How has the company supported you in achieving your career goals?

“Tennis is an incredible organisation for personal and professional growth. It’s a place where people genuinely care about each other and are passionate about their work. I’ve been lucky to build meaningful relationships with leaders across the business who have supported my development by offering interim leadership opportunities and secondments. Through roles in Participation, Marketing, and now the People team, I’ve felt encouraged and empowered to explore new challenges, expand my skills, and find my niche.”

  • How does Tennis support you in maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

“Tennis offers a fantastic flexible working setup. When I’m in the office, the environment is vibrant and collaborative, making it easy to connect and produce great work with an amazing team. At the same time, the flexibility to work from home and adjust my hours gives me the freedom to prioritise my health and wellbeing while still contributing meaningfully to our shared goal of creating a playful world through tennis.”
