About the role

As a Tennis Coach (Tennis World), you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality coaching services to players of all ages, abilities, and levels. The role involves delivering a wide range of coaching programs, including Tennis Hot Shots, Junior Development, Group Social sessions, and Performance Pathway programs.

In this role, you will:

  • Effectively deliver agreed coaching programs as directed by the Coaching Program Lead or Senior Coach.

  • Promote a high‑quality, engaging, and enriching coaching experience for every student in every lesson.

  • Actively involve all students on court, identifying areas for improvement and skill development.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with coaching participants both on and off the court, following established communication procedures.

  • Be a proactive team player by contributing to program objectives, monitoring performance outcomes, and recommending adjustments where targets are not being met.


About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and Tennis coaching.

  • Maintained a current Tennis Australia coaching registration, with regular updates completed.

  • Demonstrated strong organisational ability and effective communication skills.

  • Good knowledge of tennis products and brands, particularly racquets and basic string specifications.

  • Solid understanding of fundamental tennis technique and on‑court decision‑making strategies.

  • A current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain).

  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia.
