About the role
The Competitive Pathways Coordinator supports the coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of Queensland’s competitive tennis pathway, from grassroots through to elite events. This roleassistswith tournament application processes, Tournament Planner (TP) file creation, endorsement processes, and stakeholder communications.
This roleplays a key operational role inmaintainingtournament systems, supporting event delivery, and providing guidance to affiliates and event deliverers. It will work closely with the Competitive Pathways Manager and the broader Competitive Play team, collaborating with internal teams, Tennis Australia, and regional stakeholders to ensure consistency and alignment to the Tennis Queensland Strategic Plan.
In this role you will:
- Administer the end-to-end tournament application process for all sanctioned events in Queensland.
- Act as Tournament Director for TQ events, managing match plans, player communications, and on-the-day operations.
- Coordinate court and venuebookings,traveland accommodation arrangements for TQ events and officials.
- Work flexibly toassistwith onsite delivery of Tennis Queensland Competitive Play events.
- Support the TQ competitive play events and activations during TA major events, including at Brisbane International and Pro Tours.
About you
To be successful in this role you willhave:
A tertiary degree in a relevant business or sport development/management field.
Experience in tournament software systems (e.g. Tournament Planner, League Manager, UTR).
Strong understanding of competitive tennis pathways, tournament administration, and stakeholder engagement.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Hold (or be willing to obtain) a currentPolice CheckandWorking with Children Check.
Preparedness to be flexiblein regard toworking hours and arrangements relating to work associated with TennisQLD.
