Tennis Australia (TA) is one of the largest sport’s governing body, entertainment and sports rights-holder, and media production houses in Asia-Pacific. TA has grown considerably in the past few years with continued expansion domestically, regionally, and globally. Renowned for hosting a world-class event, the Australian Open has seen shopping evolve into a key pillar of the experience, fuelling significant commercial growth over the past five years. As we continue to expand our Retail and Licensing business, we are seeking a dynamic Ecommerce Manager to lead and accelerate the growth of the Australian Open online store.
This is an initial 6-month full time, contract opportunity and we are seeking an asap start. Applicants will be reviewed as they come in so do not delay or wait for the end date to apply.

About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end management of the Australian Open online store, ensuring a seamless and high-converting shopping experience
- Develop and implement ecommerce strategies to drive revenue growth, customer engagement, and digital performance
- Collaborate with the Merchandise Planner & Licensing Manager to curate and execute a commercially successful product selection
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, EDMs, and social media, to drive traffic and increase conversion
- Enhance the customer journey through UI/UX optimizations, personalization, and data-driven improvements
- Drive marketplace expansion and omni-channel retail strategies, including Click & Collect solutions
- Monitor and analyse key performance metrics, providing insights to optimize ecommerce operations and maximize revenue
- Manage financial performance, ensuring strong ROI and sustainable commercial growth
- Oversee backend operations, fulfillment processes, and customer service to maintain a world-class ecommerce experience
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Substantial experience in scaling, and managing retail ecommerce businesses, ideally within events, sports, or lifestyle brands
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in P&L management and revenue optimization
- Experience in digital marketing and social media, with hands-on expertise in SEO, SEM, EDM, and paid social campaigns.
- Proficiency in ecommerce platform Shopify, with an understanding of optimization strategies
- Ability to leverage digital platforms to engage audiences and drive direct-to-consumer sales
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, collaborating across teams to drive results
- Exceptional analytical skills, using data insights to inform strategic decision-making
