Want your chance to make a mark on a world-class, record-breaking event? We are hiring for a two Event Operations Coordinators to join our team to deliver the Australian Open 2026. These are full-time fixed-term contracts from September 2025 to February 2026.

About the role
The Event Operations Coordinator roles are integral to delivering a safe, efficient, and well-organised Australian Open, with responsibilities spanning security and access control, venue and precinct operations, and crowd management. These roles will be responsible for a combination of the following key areas:
- Assist in managing Security & Access Control requirements, including workforce scheduling, control room operations, and supplier coordination, in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
- Oversee planning and delivery of the Behind-the-Scenes program and assist with trophy presentation logistics during the Australian Open
- Support event planning and delivery across all phases, manage event communications, and coordinate readiness activities and daily precinct updates
- Assist in developing and executing crowd movement strategies, infrastructure setup, and relevant management plans to ensure a smooth patron experience
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of event-related policies, procedures, and plans to support operational readiness and continuous improvement
- Perform ‘On-Ground Manager’ role during event period and support issue resolution via the incident management system
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
- 2 years’ minimum experience in event/venue management/sporting or events (favourable)
- Operational mindset, a strong results and delivery focus, with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work in a face paced and time pressured environment
- Good communication skills to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and an ability to work autonomously, solve problems and meet deadlines
- Strong knowledge of office administration, equipment, database, email & internet systems, including the Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work within set budget parameters
- Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
