We're looking for a strategic and commercially minded Head of Accounting to lead a critical finance function during a period of significant transformation.

You'll be responsible for the integrity of financial operations while driving process improvement, leading high-performing teams, and shaping the future of finance at Thales Australia.

Located in West Sydney's Rydalmere, on Darug land, your role purpose will be –

Lead the integrity of financial reporting, general ledger and balance sheet governance.
Build high-performing onshore and offshore teams.
Drive finance transformation, process optimisation and ERP implementation.
Strengthen controls, reduce risk and improve operational efficiency.
Partner with senior leaders to influence business performance and decision-making.

On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:

Track Record in experience in financial and transactional accounting underpinned by deep knowledge of IFRS and Australian Accounting Standards
Proven leadership experience across accounting operations and shared services environments
Experience managing offshore or BPO delivery partners
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive level
A track record of driving process improvement, automation and operational excellence
ERP transformation experience (Oracle highly regarded)CA or CPA qualification
