OUR TEAM
Our Integrated Weapons Systems (IWS) team have been supporting Australian soldiers for over 100 years – designing, developing and manufacturing a range of small arms for civilian and military use. And with ongoing investment into our facilities and apprentice program, we’re building out our capabilities for generations to come.
YOUR ROLE
The HSE Advisor plays a critical role in ensuring the implementation and verification of health, safety, and environmental measures in alignment with Thales and IWS policies. This position focuses on proactive engagement with shop floor personnel to foster a culture of safety and compliance.
Proactive Engagement: Actively engage with shop floor personnel to promote safety culture and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives
Compliance and Assurance: Coordinate and participate in audit programs, manage IT systems for HSE compliance, and conduct health monitoring programs
Support and Advisory: Provide advice and support on safety, injury management, WHS legislation, and environmental management to managers and workers
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Minimum Certificate IV in WHS (or ability to obtain)
Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with people at all levels
Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft Office and relevant data management applications
Sound working knowledge of HSE issues and compliance.
Previous experience within the Logistics and/or Defence industry would be highly advantageous
