Our Above Water Systems team provides engineering & maintenance services to Royal Australian Navy vessels and commercial ships. We’re proud to bolster Australia’s sovereign capability through operational support to our defence partners. YOUR ROLE
Working centrally in Woolloomooloo's Garden Island, on Gadigal land you will undertake a 2-year traineeship program completing a Certificate III in Construction Crane Operations.
What will you learn?
General lift of construction material for Ship Maintenance
Rigging & removal of major ship components in Dry Dock
Working safely at Heights in Boom Lifts & Manbox
Forklift operation
Mobile Crane & Portal Crane experience
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Whilst we focus mostly on a great attitude and willingness to learn, here are a few key attributes you will bring to the role:
Ability to work within a team environment
Great communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of people
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and at heights
Dogging or rigging experience is not essential but would come in handy
Mature aged trainees with experience are encouraged to apply!
