The Role: Project Superintendent
As a Project Superintendent, you’ll oversee project control for Naval and Commercial projects, working closely with Project Managers and Supervisors. You’ll ensure smooth operations, safety compliance, and effective coordination of teams and resources. This role is situated in the PM & PMO team at the Garden Island Defence Precinct.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high safety standards and enforce environmental policies.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee project execution, managing client relationships, subcontractors, and resources.
- Coordinate trade supervisors and subcontractors to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor progress, report to managers, and address project risks.
- Ensure compliance with quality and technical standards.
- Review and analyse labour hours, material costs, and financial performance.
- Prepare and verify project documentation, ensuring timely submission.
Your Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or relevant trade experience.
- Strong safety leadership in industrial environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
