The Head of Accounting is responsible for planning and validation of budgets, accounting and monitoring of business financial performance, implementation of monitoring tools, and proposal of improvement measures. This will include preparation of the company and consolidated financial statements, in compliance with accounting, legal, and tax standards.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As Head of Accounting, you are accountable for:
Financial accounting and month end closing: Prepare, review, and present accurate financial information. Ensure compliance with Thales group policies, IFRS, and other regulatory requirements.
Team leadership and operations: Oversee daily accounting operations, manage external accounting service provider, supervise staff, and grow team technical and soft skills in time of changes.
Financial reporting for decision: Provide timely and relevant financial information, analysis and insight to management and Finance community and flag risks and opportunities for financial KPIs.
Audit and other regulatory requirements: Organize records, provide documentations and prepare reliable financial reports for internal audit, external audit and other regulatory requirements.
Internal controls & compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal controls, to ensure financial data integrity and adherence to internal policies and financial regulations.
Process improvement: Enhance efficiency, accuracy, timeliness and reliability in accounting procedures. Automate and streamline processes and drive continuous improvement.
Change agent for Finance and cross-functions: Implement change in finance tools, procedures, polices and work allocations, and drive adoption within Finance and across departments.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We will expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
- Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent degree.
- CA, CPA or member of professional accounting body.
- Proven ability to lead finance operations and transformation.
- Demonstrated experience in continuously optimising financial processes.
- Broad range of experience in Finance function.
- Strong experience in executive and senior key stakeholder management.
