We are looking for Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers to join our Perth Digital Competence Centre (DCC) - Be part of a specialist software team delivering technical solutions into Government and the Land, Sea, Air and Space domains.

As a Software Engineer, you'll be involved throughout the Software Development Lifecycle, from design through to implementation, testing and deployment. KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

  • Software development methodologies, software architecture and best practice
  • .NET and / orJava ideally with exposure to other high-level languages and frameworks (e.g.Kotlin,C#,C/C++,Python,HTML,CSS,Angular,Javascript,Typescript,React,Node.JS,GRAPHQL

​DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Deploying, maintaining and monitoring applications running in a cloud environment (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • UI and UX design
  • DevOps and CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab
  • Containerisation with Docker or Podman and orchestration with Kubernetes
  • Cloud solution deployment and orchestration
  • Full-stack development
  • Databases (SQL or NoSQL

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tertiary qualification in ComputerScience,InformationTechnology,SoftwareEngineering or a related engineering discipline
  • AustralianCitizenship required and be eligible for an AGSVASecurity Clearance

GOOD TO KNOW
Prior to being offered employment, you will need to complete pre-employment police and (role dependent) medical checks. Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain necessary security clearance.
