Reporting to the CEO of The Star Sydney and Group Head of Transformation, as the COO of Hospitality, you will be accountable for establishing, implementing and overseeing the goals, strategies, plans and policies for the Hospitality area of The Star Sydney, working with the Centres of Excellence to deliver for the property. The COO Hospitality will hold end to end execution of commercial strategies and initiatives that contribute to revenue growth for Hospitality related business units at The Star Sydney.
Responsibility will also include the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of the risk management and regulatory compliance systems and processes which will allow The Star Sydney to keep pace with rapidly evolving regulatory landscape and the changing community expectations that underpin these.
In addition the COO Hospitality provides overall leadership and management for the Hospitality teams and defines the service and operating culture of the division.
Opportunities to make an impact include:
- Responsible for end to end accountability of bringing to life the strategy, performance, and execution of Hospitality including working with support functions for integrated data, analysis and support
- Responsible for driving Hospitality Teams to maintain the highest level of standards aligned to suitability to hold a Casino License
- Drive accountability of team and company programs to ensure The Star Sydney complies with all laws and regulatory standards and initiates action as appropriate.
- Head the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes for the effective marketing of The Star Sydney’s Hospitality businesses.
- Oversee the preparation of budgets for The Star Sydney’s Hospitality businesses and ensure operations are conducted within the budgetary requirements.
- Contribute to growth through the development and implementation of commercial and operational initiatives.
- New initiatives and opportunities are maximised through leveraging property scale, competitive differences and assets
To be successful in this role you will have
- 15 years + industry experience in progressive leadership roles within a Group VP or COO capacity
- Commercial and business acumen. With a key strength in identifying and delivering on commercial opportunities
- Advanced knowledge in application of best practice in Gaming, Entertainment, Hospitality & other service – based industries
