About your new role
The Anti Money Laundering Manager is responsible for performing a wide range of analysis, recording and reporting actions in accordance with The Star’s AML/ CTF Program and regulatory statutory requirements. This role will actively supervise and manage a team of AML/CTF Analysts, taking ownership for mentoring, developing and ensuring successors are in place for critical roles!
With your attention to detail and ability to prioritise, this role will effectively assess transaction monitoring alerts and approvals with a focus on reverification and critical issue of any discrepancies. Communication skills will enable you to forge and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, managing investigation inquiries and raise matters of concerns to the appropriate agencies.

To be successful in this role:
- Previous experience in an AML/CTF Analyst role
- Validated experience in risk management or assurance role is highly advantageous
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant statutory compliance and reporting requirements
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently
- Tertiary degree in a subject which requires a high level of critical analysis and independent research is desirable, e.g. Law, Criminology, Economics, Accounting
