About the role:
In this newly created position of Director of Asset Protection , you will be responsible for effectively managing and overseeing the Asset Protection Risk and Compliance requirements as they relate to Security, Crowd Management, Emergency Management and Asset Protection Systems.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to accelerate their career – joining the team in preparation of the Queen’s Wharf opening – you will also be required to represent your department at periodic RSA, Exclusion Committee, QLD Police, OLGR, Property Leadership and industry meetings in conjunction with managing and overseeing public liability investigations and claims handling.
Reporting to the General Manage Asset Protection, you will partner with the Legal and Regulatory teams to seek insurance advice and provide material for any show cause responses, notices to produce or subpoenas.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Oversee critical incident reviews and serious regulatory breaches
- Work with relevant senior leaders to improve learning and development activities
- Manage review systems and procedures checking for compliance and variance against documented work procedures, work instructions and requirements
- Oversee evidentiary matters involving investigations and the standard of evidentiary material provided to statutory authorities
- Ensure the Asset Protection Department remains compliant - recommending remedial action where legislative or policy obligations change
The following skills or training advantageous:
- Current QLD Security Industry Licence (or ability to obtain one through mutual recognition)
- Considerable experience leading and transforming teams
- Considerable experience in emergency management (preferably at a large site)
- Knowledge of access control systems, key management systems and CCTV Systems
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Gambling Accreditation
- Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular, Casino Control Act and regulations, Liquor Act, Security Industry Act and Crimes Act.
