Senior Technical Analyst Network Communications
The Star Entertainment is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Analyst to fulfill the performance obligations of our gaming systems and infrastructure. This includes developing, configuring and optimising server and storage software and hardware infrastructure, network software and communication links.
The ideal candidate will have critical thinking abilities and be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills to locate root cause and conduct respective solutions reporting.
Permanent Full-time role based in Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Analyse day to day functions and processes of software and database resources to ensure they are performing within pre-determined guidelines
- Provide recommendations that address existing potential trouble areas in infrastructure across casinos Property and provide on call technical support.
- Ensure compliance is met in line with all policies for The Star Entertainment Group
- Performing all other related/ project duties as required
- General knowledge of virtualisation platform - VMware
- General knowledge of machine data analytics - Splunk

To be successful in this role you will need:
- Strong technical knowledge of network, PC and platform operating systems
- Solid experience in hardware infrastructure within an IBM iSeries, Microsoft Windows and/or UNIX operations environment.
- Experience in supporting configuration environment.
- Ability to communicate ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
