An opportunity has arisen in the Safety & Security Department for a Safety and Security Supervisor .
As a Safety & Security Supervisor you will be required to assist in managing shift operations, providing leadership, motivation, advice, and direction for all employees to meet the Safety & Security departmental objectives.
Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Support Security management and provide leadership and direction with regard to the operational aspects of the department ensuring customer service and operational requirement are met
- Supervise staff and complete all team development requirements including training, development, and performance management of staff
- Pro-actively promote positive customer relations and ensure that the customer service delivery is timely, effective, and efficient and that it meets both the customers' needs and corporate/systems standards
- Monitor and investigate all incidents on activities that have occurred within The Star complex
- Assist in implementing strategies to reduce incidents of theft, assault, vandalism, disorderly conduct, and all other illegal and undesirable activities within The Star's complex

What are we looking for?
- Supervisory experience with the ability to lead a large team
- Demonstration and delivery of the Star Qualities and leadership competencies
- Current Senior First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation certificates
- Thorough knowledge of the compliance requirements relating to the Casino Control Act 1982, associated Legislation and the System of Accounting and Internal Control
- Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular QLD Liquor Act, Security Providers Act, QLD Workplace Health & Safety Act and QLD Crimes Act
- Solid performance history and demonstrated interest in advancing your career
- Availability to work across a 24/7 roster and flexibility to accommodate changes to your roster to support management functions as required
