As a Commercial Advisor at Tilt Renewables, you will play a crucial role in achieving shared targets by supporting the procurement and contracting of key renewable energy projects. Your hands-on approach will be essential in ensuring financial close and the commencement of construction.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager and working closely with the Commercial Development Team, you will ensure optimal procurement covering major equipment supply and installation, civil and electrical balance of plant, and grid connection works. Developing strong relationships with leading suppliers and contractors and ensuring an effective tendering process will be key to this role.

Key Accountabilities:

Pre-Tendering:

  • Regular interaction with development team colleagues to stay informed on project development timelines and activities.
  • Pre-qualification of OEMs and BOP contractors prior to tender release.
  • External monitoring and industry networking to track market trends in project costs, contract structures, and risk profiles.

Tendering:

  • Support preparation and release of tender packages for selected projects.
  • Maintain regular contact with tenderers to ensure timely, complete, and high-quality submissions.
  • Support structured review of tender submissions using pre-prepared assessment tools and templates.

Financial Close & Handover:

  • Amend or update contracts to meet lenders' requirements.
  • Assist in preparing board packs for equity final investment decision (FID).
  • Provide ad-hoc contract interpretation and administration support during the project construction phase.

Financial Management:

  • Ensure adherence to company cost control and financial management policies.
  • Support project tendering and contract negotiations to achieve the best value for Tilt Renewables.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Network and engage with OEMs, BOP contractors, and Transmission Network Service Providers (TNSPs).
  • Consult internally on procurement strategy, structure, and timing of projects.

Business Planning and Continuous Improvement:

  • Support business planning and continuous improvement activities.

Contract Negotiation:

  • Work with senior team members to negotiate contracts and implement commercial processes.

Health, Safety & Environment:

  • Ensure compliance with company HSE policies in all project tendering and contract negotiation processes.

This role requires someone who has:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain roles, or project management with demonstrated commercial, contractual, and business acumen.
  • Direct experience in renewable energy projects – advantageous.
  • Experience in the energy or similar sector, particularly in tendering and agreement of key project contracts – preferred.
  • Proficiency in coordinating multiple tendering and project processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum graduate-level degree in Engineering, Finance, Law, or other relevant qualification.
