In Australia there are two separate businesses: Toyota Motor Corporation Australia (TMCA) and Toyota Finance Australia (TFA). While we work closely together, TMCA focuses on vehicles and here at Toyota Finance Australia our priority is to provide finance, insurance and fleet management.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract role based in St Leonards, NSW, however the team will be relocating to our brand new, state of the art office at Grosvenor Place in Sydney CBD in November.
What you'll contribute to
The Payroll Administrator is primarily responsible for maintaining the HR Payroll function in order to administer and process all payments to staff. As a vital member of our team, you’ll oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring every employee is paid accurately and on time. Your role will involve managing payroll calculations, addressing employee inquiries, and staying up to date with compliance regulations.
How you'll make an impact
- Preparing and processing the Fortnightly and Monthly pay runs for approximately 1,100+ staff – permanent and fixed term.
- Ensuring the integrity and maintenance of payroll system data (e.g., ensuring employee details are accurately inputted and maintained).
- Maintain accurate record keeping of pay records, banking details, overtime, Tax File Number Declarations, timesheets, leave records, and other related information.
- Manage and ensure the accuracy of termination payments.
- Support the monthly and year end preparation, balancing, and reconciliation of the following: payroll tax, PAYG tax, superannuation contribution, income statements, workers compensation premiums, and authorised payroll deductions.
- Responding to all aspects of staff queries including superannuation, deductions, staff loans, novated leases, and general payroll queries
- Monitoring and adhering to changes to payroll statutory requirements and communicating accordingly.
- Assist with system updates as required.
- Managing internal stakeholder relationships for all payroll-related activities.
- Generate accurate statistical reports from Chris21.
- Interpretation of EBA’s and Modern Award’s.
- Identifying and recommending process improvements.
- Act as support to SME for any projects involving the Payroll function
Your attributes
- Proven experience in using, updating, and administering Chris21, iChris and HR21. (preferred)
- Knowledge of payroll procedures, Awards, and processing of an end-to-end payroll function.
- Proven ability to extract data from payroll systems and produce reports.
- Strong Excel skills coupled with data manipulation and presentation of information.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of delivering excellent customer service.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Highly developed numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative and judgement to resolve problems.
