What you'll contribute to
As a Commercial Repair Authorisation Consultant, you will effectively contribute to the administration of the national repairs & maintenance department, to both generate budgeted profit outcomes and ensure OH&S repair obligations are met for vehicles under management.
How you'll make an impact
- Provide effective service & repair cost control for heavy vehicle & plant equipment, utilising trade-based skills in negotiation with heavy commercial & plant equipment repairers and tyre suppliers nationally.
- Ensure all Heavy vehicles comply with relevant legal, roadworthy, COR, OH&S and TFA requirements.
- Ensure all equipment such as elevated work platforms & cranes comply with relevant statutory, legal, OH&S and TFA requirements.
- Process supplier invoices ensuring all relevant service, repair and mandatory certifications and inspections are recorded.
- Manage heavy commercial and plant equipment awaiting quotes for repairs to minimise delays to ensure timely return into operation.
- Ensure all relevant customer authorisations and approvals are sought as required and recorded.
- Utilise industry experience to formulate thorough whole of life costs for all asset types to secure TFA’s future financial interests
- Qualified Motor Mechanic – essential
- Minimum 5 years additional heavy vehicle or plant equipment experience in a manufacturer or dealership
- Intermediate literary, numeracy and data entry skills
- Ability to make decisions and work unsupervised
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
