This role is based in our Head Office in Grosvenor Place, Sydney. The office is within walking distance from the train station. There are plenty of options for lunch and catching up with colleagues or friends after work.
What you'll contribute to
As the Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely, accurate, and comprehensive preparation of financial reports. These reports will be provided to the board, senior management, the parent entity in Japan, as well as government and regulatory agencies on both a periodic and ad-hoc basis. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining financial transparency and supporting informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to
- General accounting activities to meet accounting and reporting obligations
- Will play a lead role in completing and coordinating semi-annual and annual financial accounts, as well as coordinating with other business areas and external auditors
- Ensure SOX controls are observed at all times
- Foster a culture to ensure staff to work closely with business
- Be a trusted advisor for the business on TFA product accounting
- Advocate and encourage staff to continually look to enhance process through change and automation
- Maintain integrity of core systems by ensuring adequate controls are in place
Your attributes
- University degree major in Accounting & Finance CA/CPA
- Extensive corporate experience in finance/accounting
- Understanding of accounting for financial assets and financial liabilities
- Abreast with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and its Australian equivalent, primarily AASB 9, AASB 7 and AASB 101
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Advance/intermediate Excel
- Finance industry experience will be an advantage
- SQL literacy will be an advantage
