What you'll contribute to
The Senior Product Planning Specialist role is responsible for the development of model line-ups for Toyota commercial vehicles to bring to market highly desirable products that maximise TMCA and Dealer profitability and achieve sales and customer satisfaction targets.
The role is part of the Product Planning a Development Division, which is responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of all product activities in order to ensure new products are optimised to meet the future needs of customers.
This is a Max Term role until December 2025 and is a based in Altona North
How you'll make an impact
- Lead, implement and review agreed commercial product planning systems, processes and procedures consistent with set policies in order to achieve customer satisfaction, sales and profitability objectives
- Provide advice on and assist managers in the development of product planning policies and standards for commercial vehicles to maximise product desirability, customer satisfaction, sales and profitability.
- Develop model line-up and grade specifications for commercial vehicles, as well as accessories product plans in order to maximise product desirability, customer satisfaction, sales and profitability.
- Implement market research methods, interpret market research data, and incorporates insights into product planning in order to ensure the model line-up and grade specifications that optimise both product desirability and profitability. Identifies new opportunities within the market to achieve growth.
- Support the Manager, Product Planning Commercial Vehicles in project managing the product planning process to launch including post product launch evaluation. Coordinates and facilitates forums to ensure that product plans, their progress and issues are clearly communicated to all stakeholders.
- Lead, guide & mentor Product Planning Specialist to support the development of Commercial Vehicle Model Line-up strategies to ensure product desirability & customers' expectations are exceeded.
- Strategically develop strategies to determine product specification, price and volume, with insight into the customer and marketplace.
- Determine optimal model line-up and grade walk up specifications, based on collected market and product research information and strategic thinking

- Degree qualification in engineering, marketing, business or economics or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' accumulative marketing or product planning experience (ideally in automotive industry)
- Understanding of automotive systems and technical terms
- Understanding of sales and marketing process
- Experience in market research and cost planning financial analysis
