What you'll contribute to
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Driver Training Facilitator to join our People & Culture division in a permanent full-time capacity.
The People and Culture Division (P&C) is responsible for the provision of Toyota best practice consultancy, training and development services to both internal customers and external businesses. This includes, but is not limited to, Toyota employees, dealers, suppliers, vehicle importers and the broader community.
The Driver Training Facilitator is primarily responsible for contributing to product training, familiarisation, and evaluation for external and internal stakeholders, as well as the oversight of the Autodrome facility and all the policies and procedures therein. This is to ensure that Toyota employees and other stakeholders, including Toyota and Lexus dealers and relevant internal departments have access to a safe environment to experience dynamic product training and testing.
This is a permanent role based in Altona North and is predominantly required to be onsite.
How you'll make an impact
- Implement agreed driver training processes and procedures and coordinate the respective facilities day-to-day consistent with set policies to ensure that dealers, media representatives, and Toyota employees have access to a safe environment to experience dynamic product training and testing.
- Provide specialist knowledge in the development of driver training materials and programs to ensure that all relevant internal and external stakeholders have the product knowledge and capability required to achieve Toyota's sales, guest service and profitability objectives.
- Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure driver training plans are clearly communicated, understood, and executed in line with Toyota's corporate objectives. Resolve any queries and issues and escalate matters to minimise risk.
- Monitor driver training and the respective facilities and assets (i.e vehicles) with respect to compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements to minimise Toyota's risk exposure and liabilities. Ensure that safety is always the highest priority whilst maintaining a guest focus.
- Assist in the implementation of schedules for projects and monitor/report performance against key milestones to ensure delivery of the driver training programs to schedule, quality and cost objectives. Maintain reporting systems to provide the business with accurate and timely information to support planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Partner with other divisions to ensure that the business is serviced and optimally supported in achieving their objectives.

- Driving Instructor qualification or willing to acquire is preferred.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or willing to acquire within the first 6 months of appointment.
- 2+ years' accumulative experience.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate and control a group in a high-risk environment.
- Trade qualification an advantage.
- Good Product & Driving skills knowledge essential.
