What you'll contribute to

The Quality and Service Division is responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of customer first activities including customer support, service operation foundations and training, in-field product performance and support, warranty, quality planning and engineering in order to retain customers for life through optimised experiences, services and products to grow the market, contribute to profitability objectives and strengthen the Toyota brand.

The Technical Operations Manager is primarily responsible for assisting in the planning, facilitating and implementation of all technical operations support provided to Dealers in the region in order to contribute to the Fix it Right philosophy, Dealership profitability, customer satisfaction and business targets for Toyota over the short, medium and long term.

This role is based in Acacia Ridge and is on a Permanent basis.

How you'll make an impact

  • Implement strategies to enhance technical operations and improve customer satisfaction, while supporting Toyota for Life objectives and long-term business goals.
  • Provide responsive and flexible technical support to Toyota and Lexus dealers across QLD and Northern NSW, ensuring Fix It Right standards are met and driving customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure Early Detection and Early Resolution (EDER) of field issues, while meeting all targets and maintaining high service quality.
  • Oversee out-of-warranty claims, costs, and authorisations, ensuring regional dealer compliance with warranty standards to build customer trust and satisfaction.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with dealerships, customers, and other Toyota Australia divisions to align with the President's goals and strengthen Toyota's presence in the market.
  • Monitor and analyse performance against set targets, recommending improvements as necessary, while ensuring compliance with Australian regulations, statutory requirements, and Toyota Australia operational standards to minimise risk exposure.

Your attributes - If you've got one or more, we'd love to hear from you!

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field
  • Trade qualification in automotive technology, with a solid understanding of the automotive industry and dealership network
  • Experience in Toyota/Lexus products preferable, along with a good understanding of consumer law
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanour and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
