What you'll contribute to
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Total Rewards Specialist to join our People & Culture team in a permanent full-time role.
The People and Culture Division leads the implementation of strategic people initiatives across Toyota, fostering a safe and inclusive environment where teammates can thrive and reach their full potential. It delivers best-practice consultancy, training, and development services to Toyota employees and OneToyota affiliates through a shared HR services model. This includes comprehensive organisational development, professional training, and HR advisory services covering health and safety, remuneration and benefits, employee relations, and talent acquisition-supported by advanced technology platforms and systems.
The Total Rewards Specialist is responsible for implementing systems, policies, and procedures related to employee rewards, while providing expert advice to managers and HR stakeholders on all aspects of total rewards-including remuneration, benefits, and recognition. This role ensures the business is effectively supported in achieving its objectives through its people by delivering comprehensive total rewards services.
This role is based in Altona North, with flexible work arrangements available and requires travel to Sydney on an adhoc basis.
How you'll make an impact
- Implement and regularly review total rewards systems, processes, and procedures in line with established policies to ensure business objectives are achieved efficiently and at optimal cost.
- Provide guidance and contribute to the development of strategies, policies, and standards for total rewards practices to ensure alignment with business objectives and cost efficiency.
- Prepare and communicate all inputs and outputs for annual remuneration processes, including (but not limited to) promotions, rotations, salary reviews, and bonus allocations.
- Manage relationships, communication, and processes with external total rewards providers to ensure seamless service delivery and provide employees with timely, accurate information.
- Organise and lead forums to ensure total rewards plans, progress updates, and any issues are clearly communicated to all stakeholders.
- Update and maintain reporting systems to provide accurate, timely information that supports business planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

- Degree qualification or equivalent strong background in a similar role within rewards and benefits
- Proven experience in human resources roles
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel
- Demonstrated success in delivering business-focused services and solutions,
- Exposure to Korn Ferry methodology
