About the Opportunity
As our business continues to grow, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team. Based in North Sydney and working in a Hybrid/flexible environment, this role provides crucial support to our business across multiple locations.
You will take ownership for processing invoices and payments accurately and on time, while supporting the finance team to keep things running smoothly. You’ll also help maintain positive relationships with our suppliers and ensure all records are up to date.
In this role you’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth and accurate processing of accounts payable activities across the business. Working closely with the Finance team and internal stakeholders, you’ll manage high volumes of invoices and expense claims, carry out reconciliation tasks, and ensure timely and accurate payments. This role suits someone who is detail-focused, organised, proactive, and confident in managing multiple priorities while maintaining strong working relationships.
As our Accounts Payable Officer, you’ll also be responsible for;
- Administering and contributing to end-to-end accounts payable processes, including collation, verification and data entry of invoices and employee expense claims into the ERP system.
- Preparing and processing weekly EFT payment runs.
- Reconciling supplier statements, credit cards, petty cash and group travel expenses.
- Liaising with staff to follow up incomplete credit card or expense submissions.
- Performing vendor account reconciliations (e.g., Cabcharge, Uber).
- Maintaining the forex conversion tables.
- Ensure accurate weekly filing and documentation management.
- Building and maintaining strong, professional relationships with team members and internal stakeholders, providing clear and proactive communication.
What you’ll bring
As our successful candidate you'll bring:
- Relevant qualifications or certification in a business, accounting, information processing or related discipline/working towards is desirable.
- 2-3 years of bookkeeping/ERP data entry experience/ Accounts Payable experience
- Proven experience using Microsoft D365
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstration of a high quality work ethic and observing sensitivity with information handling.
- Ability to handle a high volume of data entry and process with accuracy and efficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to take full ownership of work assigned, providing potential solutions to problems identified
