About TBH

At TBH, we dream of transforming communities and improving lives, by providing innovative solutions to our clients most complex problems.

We’re one of Australia’s largest privately owned, independent consultancy with an international footprint, and have been specialising in high-risk, large-scale and challenging projects since 1965.

As leaders in our field and trusted advisors, we have provided specialist project management services to the public and private sectors on over 8,000 landmark projects across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

TBH has been growing rapidly in Australia and internationally, but continues to be a connected, collaborative and supportive team. We have set our strategy looking ahead to 2030, to ensure we continue to meet the needs of clients and set ourselves up as a business for the future.

About the Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Junior Project Planner (Consultant) to join our growing Sydney team. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in planning & scheduling, risk management, claims or cost management services, and a desire to build their career by working on diverse and challenging projects. You’ll gain exposure to complex projects, developing strong capability in planning, scheduling and project delivery while working alongside experienced consultants and project managers across a range of engineering and construction environments.

Through supporting high-quality delivery across client projects, you’ll work closely with technical teams, contributing to schedule analysis and broader project controls activities, and engaging with client stakeholders as your capability grows. This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaboration and continuous learning, and who is looking to develop a long-term career in project planning and scheduling, project controls and consultancy.

You will support TBH’s planning and scheduling services across project, programme and portfolio environments, working closely with senior team members across a wide range of engineering and construction assignments. This includes strategic advisory services to support investment and business case decisions, disputes, claims and variation assessments, cost control, estimating and benchmarking, commercial advisory and contract management, as well as planning and scheduling services and client-facing delivery across sectors including energy, water, infrastructure and international projects.

As our Consultant you’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of construction schedules from drawings and project documentation
  • Assisting with progress updates and resequencing activities to mitigate schedule slippage
  • Validating and reviewing third-party schedules, including critical path, logic and scope checks
  • Supporting integrated master schedule development across interdependent programmes
  • Assisting with cost-loaded and resource-loaded schedule development and maintenance
  • Preparing schedule management documentation, including basis of schedule outputs
  • Supporting design programming, integrated baseline reviews and shutdown planning activities
  • Contributing to project execution activities as directed by project/service delivery leaders
  • Building strong relationships with internal teams and client stakeholders through clear and professional communication
  • Reviewing and analysing project data and presenting insights to support decision-making
  • Assisting with preparation of client deliverables including analysis, reporting and project outputs

What you’ll bring

As our successful candidate you'll bring;

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • 2+ years’ post-graduate experience in site engineering, planning or quantity surveying
  • Project planning experience within construction, infrastructure, energy, or telecommunications
  • Experience in contract administration (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, and Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication skills, including report writing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a consultancy (desirable but not essential).
