Role:

To provide mature industry knowledge, technical and professional skills and support to specific projects as assigned. Senior consultants lead projects, deal with day to day client interactions, manage and develop junior employees.

Job Description

Risk Management

  • Design and manage risk management functions by developing risk policies, procedures, guidelines and manuals to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Design programs to build/ uplift a risk-aware culture across the project/s.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the tools for risk monitoring and reporting.
  • Design and implement protocols for risk data analytics to support risk-based decision making within the project.
  • Carryout risk reporting associated with monitoring project contingency and potential scope modifications made during the project.
  • Maintain the risk register to facilitate the management of the project risk profile.
  • Provide subject matter expert advice to the project management team in relation to risk management.

Contingency Management

  • Design and implement contingency management function.
  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative risk assessment to support informed and evidence-based decision-making within.

General

  • Contribute and review project status reporting and assisting with arrangements for key governance meetings.
  • Supporting the project controls and contract management functions as required.
  • Support tenders and bid process.

Qualifications

  • Experience working as a risk practitioner in high-risk, complex, and large scale/ major projects.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering, Construction or Business Management is highly desirable.
  • Relevant accreditation in project risk management is highly desirable.
  • Relevant experience in the infrastructure, utilities, and defence industries.
  • Experience in using risk databases and risk management systems, including systems/software to support quantitative risk analysis.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service.
