To support TBH with our Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) responsibilities, TBH has an opportunity for a dedicated Security Officer to join the team on a part-time or full-time basis. This position offers flexibility to work remotely, and can be based in Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide or Melbourne.

The security officer role will support TBH defence leads and manage the DISP certification and clearance process.

Responsibilities for this position include:

DISP Certification

  • Responsible for the development and application of security policies and plans within TBH.
  • Identification and management of security risks across physical, personnel, information, and governance security segments.
  • Ensure DISP compliance and administer requirements as designated DISP Security Officer and ensure compliance with Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF).
  • Maintaining the Designated Security Assessed Position (DSAP) list, and Security Register (SR).
  • Reporting change of circumstances and vulnerabilities of clearance holders.
  • Development and coordination of annual security awareness training of personnel and recording training completions.
  • Reporting security incidents and fraud incidents, and contact reports, in accordance with Defence policy.
  • Yearly assurance activities to support the CSO.

Clearance Requests

  • Manage personnel security clearance requests.
  • Coordinating SVA001 forms with employees and police checks as requested.
  • Submitting clearance requests in the MyClearance Portal.
  • Updating status of clearance paperwork and maintaining internal clearance database.
  • Sending clearance holders reminders to complete ePack details in a timely manner.
  • Sending reminders for clearance holders to maintain change of circumstances forms.
  • complete travel security briefs and debriefs to employees.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience as designated DISP Security Officer.
  • Experience managing DISP compliance activities and assurance.
  • Exposure to defence industry engagement in a private sector organization.
  • Current NV1 security clearance.
