About the Opportunity
As our business continues to grow, we have a great opportunity for Business Development Manager to join our team in Melbourne.
Reporting to the Group Head of Business Development this role is pivotal in introducing new business opportunities, fostering strong relationships with clients, and delivering on TBH’s strategic business objectives.
You will be responsible for identifying target organisations, building and maintaining a robust pipeline, and ensuring exceptional client engagement. This role will see you working across multiple sectors — including building & construction, energy, transport, health, education, and digital — to secure opportunities and grow TBH’s market presence.
In this opportunity you will also:
- Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, trends, and partnerships
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target organisations
- Attend industry events and conferences to expand networks and uncover new leads
- Support Directors with bids, proposals, and client meetings, and lead meetings independently where appropriate
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and collateral
- Manage business development reporting, client feedback, and post-engagement reviews
- Promote TBH’s brand and uphold the highest standards of professional ethics
What You’ll Bring
As our successful candidate, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management
- Strong ability to analyse industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs to identify opportunities
- Experience in prospecting, lead generation, cold calling, and networking
- Track record engaging with senior decision-makers and cross-functional teams
- Experience working across multiple sectors (building & construction, energy, transport, health, education, digital)
- Proficiency in CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills — both verbal and written
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
