About the Opportunity

We have a great opportunity for a Junior Project Planner & Scheduler (Consultant) to join our Brisbane team. You’ll gain exposure to complex projects and build strong foundations in planning, scheduling and project delivery while working alongside experienced consultants and project managers.

You’ll support high-quality delivery across a range of client projects. You’ll work closely with technical team members, contribute to planning and schedule analysis, and engage with client stakeholders as your capability grows. This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous learning, and who wants to develop a long-term career in project controls and consultancy.

This role supports TBH’s planning and scheduling services across project, programme, and portfolio environments with the potential to work across a variety of industries such as; Transport & infrastructure, Energy & renewables, defence, data centres, construction and power & utilities.

The position works closely with senior TBH planners and client project teams to develop, maintain, analyse, and report on schedules, while supporting the rollout of schedule processes, governance, and documentation.

 

As our Consultant you will;

  • Support the development and rollout of TBH Schedule Management Plans, scheduling procedures, and governance documents.
  • Assist in developing TBH master schedules and Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 schedules for projects, programmes, and portfolios.
  • Build schedules using drawings, scope documents, procurement information, methodologies, and interdependency data.
  • Support development of TBH Basis of Schedule documentation and supporting narrative.
  • Maintain schedules through logic updates, progress reporting, critical path reviews, resequencing, and change tracking.
  • Support schedule analytics including look-aheads, earned value checks, variance analysis, performance tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Assist with planning workshops, schedule reviews, model runs, and internal TBH delivery sessions.
  • Support senior staff with schedule risk modelling and scenario analysis.
  • Attend client meetings to gather schedule inputs, confirm assumptions, capture actions, and support delivery.
  • Update schedules following client discussions and present outcomes where appropriate.
  • Prepare TBH client-ready outputs including reports, dashboards, commentary, presentations, and status material.
  • Communicate clearly with internal TBH teams and external stakeholders to validate logic, dates, and progress.
  • Build strong client relationships through reliability, responsiveness, and professional conduct.
  • Support TBH’s client-facing culture and help demonstrate TBH scheduling capability.

 

What You'll Bring

As our successful candidate you'll bring;

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Some exposure to project scheduling or project controls.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and technical information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication ability.
  • Confidence using Excel and planning tools (P6/MSP) or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work under direction and manage deadlines and priorities.
  • Team-oriented mindset with willingness to learn.
  • Professional, reliable, and client-focused approach.
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to build capability.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
