Western Sydney is one of the fastest growing regions in our country, with the population of Greater Parramatta alone set to climb by 50 per cent by 2041 and at Great River City Light Rail we want to create new communities, connect great places and help locals and visitors move around and explore what the region has to offer. The new Light Rail connects Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD and Camellia, spanning 12 kilometres and utilising state-of-the-art vehicles that delivers comfortable, user-friendly and high-performance services. By 2026, around 28,000 people will use Parramatta Light Rail every day and an estimated 130,000 people will be living within walking distance of light rail stops.
