Position: Network Planning & Scheduling Officer
Location: Port Botany
Reporting to: Network Planning Manager

Your Role:
As the Network Planning & Scheduling Officer, you will play a key role in developing scheduling solutions that exceed safety, customer experience, contractual, and financial objectives. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement network changes that optimise resource utilization and ensure cost-effective and appropriate service levels. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our public transport services, helping us meet the evolving needs of our clients and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage short-term service changes, ensuring accurate and efficient scheduling in Hastus.
Collaborate with service delivery to plan safe and efficient route diversions.
Contribute to network development, working closely with stakeholders to propose school network solutions.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and employee conditions of employment.
Provide expert scheduling advice, assisting in the development of tools, reports, and analysis to optimise driver establishment, vehicle requirements, and budgeting.

Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel.
A positive attitude and enthusiasm to ensure continuous improvement in the design and development of train services and staff scheduling.
The role would also suit strong mathematical, planning/geography, logistics, or scientific backgrounds.
Ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in transport, planning/geography, logistics, mathematics, or economics (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge and experience in public transport scheduling software desirable but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Office Suite.
