The role


An exciting opportunity to join a leading public transport service provider has become available for an experience and capableCommercial and Contract Manager with Transdev Sydney Ferry (TDSF).


As our Commercial and Contract Manager you will Identify, develop and execute the required contracts and supply agreements in the interests for TDSF to achieve high quality service delivery and performance. Being the subject matter expert for our contracts and supply agreements you will consult with Group Counsel of TDSF legal advisors to undertake the role of Principle Representative for major contractual arrangements to ensure the systematic, effective and efficient management of risk.


The successful applicant will have specialist skills in the areas of stakeholder management and engagement, contract management and procurement. You will focus on contractual compliance and enhancing business profitability by ensuring service variations and reporting are submitted in a timely manner. You will maintain close liaison with contractors and suppliers to protect TDSF interests and achieve high quality service in line with cost efficiency targets.


This is a 5 day week in our Barangaroo Office based location, very close to Wynyard Station. With some travel to our Balmain Shipyard and Circular Quay offices.


What you bring


You will bring with you a wealth of knowledge particularly in the areas of commercial and contracts, have relevant Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Legal or related discipline. Someone who takes pride in producing an outcome with service and supply contract management.


Have strong business acumen and can provide and identify commercial risk, develop and implement effective mitigation strategies and actions and report the risk and progress with mitigation strategies internally. More importantly you will have strong interpersonal skills that to communicate and lead negotiations with customers will be treated with respect to commercially advantageous terms and conditions, prices and payment plans.


Your analytical and proactive approach to your work will make you effective in day-to-day management of contracts, including customer liaison and customer relationship management on contractual matters between both TDSF and Transport for NSW.


This position is suited to someone who enjoys contractual compliance and processes and has strong negotiation skills that can influence outcomes.
