About Great River City Light Rail
Western Sydney is one of the fastest growing regions in our country, with the population of Greater Parramatta alone set to climb by 50 per cent by 2041 and at Great River City Light Rail we want to create new communities, connect great places and help locals and visitors move around and explore what the region has to offer. The new Light Rail will connect Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD and Camellia, spanning 12 kilometres and utilising state-of-the-art vehicles that delivers comfortable, user-friendly and high-performance services. By 2026, around 28,000 people will use Parramatta Light Rail every day and an estimated 130,000 people will be living within walking distance of light rail stops.
The role
Supporting the Interface Manager and working with the broader Great River City team your role will focus on coordinating the relevant permits and limiting operational disruptions. This will include risk assessment of all works, assessing permit applications and attending the crucial stages of works to ensure work starts and ends as scheduled and in a safe manner. This will require a high level of communication skills as you liaise with both external and internal stakeholders ensuring safe and efficient works are conducted on or adjacent to Parramatta Light Rail.
What you bring
With a proven track record in a similar Permit / Shutdown role, you will possess the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline driven business whilst maintaining compliance, quality of responses and attention to detail. Equally important is the ability to influence and build effective working relationships both internally and externally with a focus on stakeholder engagement. This role will see you work both independently and contribute as part of a broader team.
