Transdev Sydney Ferries are seeking Expressions of Interest from permanent Engineers who are interested in becoming a Workplace Trainer/ Assessor.
The role
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering quality assured, competency based on-the-job training in a safe, professional & efficient manner.
Your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Delivering training and assessment in rostered shifts on the job
- Providing trainees with comprehensive competency based assessments
- Ensuring trainees have knowledge of the emergency procedures to be implemented to both avoid incidents and subsequently to manage incidents
- Assist in reviewing training documents as a subject matter expert
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as outlined by Lead Trainer Engineer
What you bring
To be successful in this role, you will need experience as a subject matter expert as an Engineer, along with a commitment to training, safety and compliance with TDSF policies and procedures. You'll be a team player with strong communication and problem solving skills.
The successful applicant will need to be flexible with regards to working hours and possess or be willing to undertake training to obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
