As a critical enabler of Australia’s energy transition, we deliver the transmission infrastructure needed to support renewable energy and build a more sustainable future.

This is a pivotal moment for the energy sector, with major investments underway to strengthen interconnection between states and unlock renewable energy zones that will power generations to come.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an Enterprise Architect to join our Technology Architecture team. This senior role within the Information and Technology function is responsible for defining and driving enterprise architecture strategy across key portfolios, ensuring strong alignment between business priorities and technology initiatives.

You will provide strategic leadership across application portfolios, develop conceptual architectures and solution roadmaps, and advise senior stakeholders to enable informed investment and delivery decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise architecture across assigned portfolios
  • Partner with senior leaders, business stakeholders and technical teams to shape and evolve the architecture landscape
  • Maintain architecture artefacts and capability models to define current and future states
  • Provide insights to support strategic decision-making and investment prioritisation
  • Contribute to concept development and business case preparation

About You

You are a strategic, detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to influence across complex environments.

You will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including influencing, mentoring and guiding others
  • Extensive experience designing, delivering and governing IT solutions in complex, regulated environments
  • Proven experience developing technology strategies and architecture roadmaps aligned to business outcomes
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF

Desirable

  • Cloud architecture or engineering certifications
  • Exposure to industrial control or operational technology environments
  • Familiarity with AESCSF or related cyber security frameworks
