The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Delivery Manager to manage our post environmental approval governance for our Major Projects (Class A and Class B) and to provide specialist environmental advice on post approval environmental matters across a portfolio of major transmission projects.
The role will require someone with high level communication skills with a firm but flexible approach in dealing with stakeholders as your new role will see you successfully delivering environmental strategic management of post environmental approvals issues within the Major Projects group and broader team. With your exceptional stakeholder management skills, you will build extensive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to provide expert guidance for the Major Projects.
You will monitor, oversee, and ensure all aspects of environmental management plans are documented and delivered in an efficient, timely, and complete manner and ensure environmental management plans and statutory approvals are legally compliant.
About You
- Tertiary qualification at degree level in an environmental planning/management related discipline
- Good understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of geographic information systems related to environmental planning and management.
- Demonstrated extensive understanding of the environmental and social aspects and impacts of electricity supply projects.
- Well-versed in environmental legislation and risk management.
- Strong understanding and extensive experience in the management and preparation of environmental management plans for Class A and B projects in NSW in accordance with Division 5.2 of Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
- Extensive experience in the engagement of external planning authorities and agencies.
- Extensive experience in the management of contracted infrastructure construction companies with respect to environmental managements and compliance.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage others and work under pressure.
- A current driver’s licence.
