The Opportunity

There is no transition without transmission and this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of a once in a generation transition in Australia’s energy landscape. The role will support the Property Team Leader and Senior Land Economist in all Acquisitions and Property matters in Transgrid. Based at either our Ultimo or Eastern Creek office you will be someone who will have had exposure to either the property or conveyance/legal industry and preferably have completed a Property or Legal or similar degree. We are offering the successful candidate a transition into Infrastructure acquisitions and exposure/ hands on experience in helping run acquisition projects as well as Business As Usual property tasks for a large organisation.

In your new role you will support the team with administrative tasks such as managing leases and licences for substations and other infrastructure facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring bills are paid across our network leases as well as ad-hoc acquisition matters/ transactions and assisting with writing briefing notes. You will also assist the more senior team members in administrative duties giving you the opportunity to learn and have exposure to a wide range of property matters. You will also be responsible for preparing correspondence as required for both internal and external stakeholder engagement.

With your exceptional stakeholder management skills, you will build strong stakeholder relationship with both your internal and external stakeholders. You will be keen to learn, eager to develop and someone who approaches their work with positivity and a can-do attitude. The role is well supported by the wider team, and to with l gaining exposure to a wider range of experience along with opportunities for growth and career progression.

About you

  • Property or legal experience
  • Understanding of legislation, regulatory frameworks, and governing land acquisition in NSW and TransGrid procedures
  • High level of organisational and time management skills
  • High level of written and record-keeping skills
  • Cooperative approach to working in a team
  • Experience working in property acquisition environment
  • Self-motivated, hard working and detail orientated
