The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
The Senior Manager Land and Property will be accountable for managing and developing the property portfolio of Transgrid.
In your new role, you will manage Transgrid’s current property portfolio and transactions, access requirements, and acquisition of land for project development. A key responsibility in this role is to develop and implement practices and procedures to deliver international best practice in the management of Transgrid’s property portfolio.
Your role will support Transgrid’s major project land access and acquisition teams, assisting with advice, policies and procedures, resourcing, and support at each stage of the major project access and acquisition process. You will require extensive engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, communities, and government entities, to deliver timely and efficient advice and information.
We are seeking an ideal candidate with business acumen, insight, and agility to respond to competitive pressures, regulatory changes, and developments in both market and industry. The role will report to the General Manager of Land, Property & Approvals, and will manage, coach, mentor, and lead a team of technical specialists.
About you
- Tertiary qualification at degree level in a property related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience managing a portfolio of property acquisition projects.
- Experience in managing a portfolio of property assets.
- Extensive experience in developing whole-of-life property management strategies.
- Good understanding and demonstrated experience in the use of information systems related to property asset management.
- Experience in management accounting and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding and experience with the legislation, regulatory frameworks, and procedures governing property in NSW and the ACT.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with customers, management, and technical staff of other organisations.
- Significant experience effectively managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage a team of technical specialists and professional staff.
- Proven ability to develop staff through providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching.
