About the opportunity
As the Network Innovation Manager you’ll collaborate with key stakeholders across the energy sector to deliver cutting-edge innovation projects that drive the energy transition forward.
Reporting to the General Manager of Innovation & Energy Transition you will be accountable for the development and delivery of a portfolio of innovation activities within Transgrid’s prescribed network business, including non-network alternatives to conventional ‘poles and wires’ capital projects.
You will also:
- Provide Executive- and Board-ready insights, recommendations and business cases for innovations that improve the quality and efficiency of our services.
- Provide a centre of expertise on new energy technologies, global best-practice and innovation case studies relevant to power transmission services.
- Resolve technical, regulatory and commercial challenges to deploy emerging technologies within Transgrid’s network, including through the development of partnerships, research and trials.
About you
You will have an agility to adapt to changing requirements and respond to feedback on continuous improvement. You will be adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment with an ability to be flexible and take on challenges with finesse and ease. Problem solving will be second nature where you will need to manage competing work priorities within current resource capacity.
With your exceptional stakeholder management skills, you will build strong partnerships across the organisation and build credibility quickly with your stakeholders delivering the best outcomes for the business.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, engineering or other relevant discipline
- Experience in leading teams in developing innovation projects and delivering value to customers and consumers.
- Experienced in energy and related sectors
